A lot of people struggle with this.
You spent a lot of time getting backlinks, doing SEO (search engine
optimization), writing articles etc to get traffic, they did come but
nobody buys anything or very few did.

What Is Your Niche?
Part of what you need do to be successful in online marketing is
knowing the niche you want to sell to, since all your ads, content,
free giveaways will be written/created for your chosen niche, if you
don’t know the niche you’ll sell to, you are not
likely to make money selling online
Who Are Your Targets?
Who do you want to sell to in your chosen niche? You must identify
them. Selling to different targets like individuals, businesses etc in
a niche are not the same, each type of targets will want different
things, hence you must know your targets to be able to create the right
promotional messages for them, if you write the wrong message to the
wrong target you are not likely to make the sale.
Is Selling To Targets In That Niche Profitable For You?
Not all targets per niche are profitable, so you much do some research
on the potential revenue and profits to be made in the niche and target
you chose to sell to, before selling to them.
Is The Product You Sell What Your Targets Want?
If you are selling the wrong product, nobody will buy a product they
don’t want, check and ensure that the products/services
you’re offering have relevant value for your targets.
You should also check if you’re selling on the right ad media
or using ads that sell etc
Once you’ve ensured that you are selling to the right niche,
target and ad media etc, you can then look at your web analysis and ad
tracking reports to see how your web visitors have been behaving on
your website, are they leaving as soon as they get to your website?
Which means there is nothing on your site to hold their interest, look
at the ad media they came from, is what you have on your website
relevant to the type of people that may have come from those types of
ad media?
You may change your ad, content, free giveaway to see if that will turn
your result around, you may also ask your web visitors what they want
by giving them a gift in exchange for that information.
